Eliminate the Fear of Referring

Referral partners and clients often don’t like to give referrals because of fear. Fear about your ability to respect their privacy/confidentiality; fear about bad prior referral experiences; and fear about exactly how you’ll make contact with someone they refer to you. Eliminate these fears by discussing these issues openly with your referral partners and clients before they arise – explain specifically how you maintain confidentiality … how you handle referrals with kid gloves … and describe your process of contacting referrals.
