Dear District 7600 Rotarians,
WE NEED YOUR HELP to recruit members for the Group Study Exchange (GSE) Outbound team to District 3620, South Korea. Know someone from work, church, or an associate who could represent Rotary and have theexperience of a lifetime?
We had a great visit from the GSE team from District 3620 in South Korea who visited with us from September 17 to October 18. Our Outbound GSE team from District 7600 is scheduled to visit District 3620 from April 2 to May 1, 2012 (dates are fluid at the moment and may change from mid May to mid June).
We need help from Rotarians in District 7600 to find young professionals between the ages 25-40 who work and live in District 7600 and are fully employed with at least two years of work experience in their chosen field. Relatives of Rotarians are not eligible to apply. Expenses for transportation and hotel are funded by your donations to The RotaryFoundation—team member expenses are passport related, medical insurance, excess baggage fees, and incidental purchases while on the trip. The team will stay in Korean Rotarian homes while with the program. Ability to speak Korean is not a requirement, as we will offer simple language training for the team in advance of departure.
This is a great opportunity for a young professional as South Korea’s economy is one of the “Asian Tigers”. The application and other GSE documents are located on the District website at http://www.rotary7600.org (click on The Rotary Foundation, then Group Study Exchange). Applications should be sent to me (contact information provided below). We wish to have a team selected by the end of November. The Rotarian team leader for the Outbound GSE Team to District 3620 is Lee Muckey with the Western Henrico Rotary club. Lee recently retired as the Director of the Tuckahoe YMCA.
